Swing.... WEEEE!

Riley is now able to fit in Case's old swing, so we tried it out last night and this morning. Ry loves it! She babbles on and on while swinging away.
For your entertainment, videos and some pictures - of course! :)

4 Month Update

Today Riley hit her big milestone, 4 months! Not really sure if that is a big one, but to me it is, so deal with it. ;)
I am taking off work early to take her into the doctor. She has to get shots and a laundry list of signed notes for daycare. One for the stuffy/runny nose and cough she has had for the last week that we assume is a cold. They require a note now before she can come back to make sure she has a clean bill of health and not an allergy to something at the facility. Second note for the daycare to allow them to keep her asleep in the swing. She falls asleep all the time in the swing but they are not allowed to keep her in there for more then 15 minutes after she has fallen asleep. Third note is like the second but for the bouncy chair, but for some reason the daycare said it has to be a total separate note. hmm.

Wish us luck - tonight could be rough with the shots. I packed Tylenol with me so I hope that she will be ok.

On a "lighter" note..... she finally pooed! For those that I had told she had not gone for over 10 days and we knew it was going to be massive and she delivered. I picked her up from daycare last Thursday and went directly to the store to get Karo syrup that the pediatrician recommended for us to put into her formula bottle that night. Apparently this is sweet tasting so most babies don't mind the taste and it helps loosen things up in there. If she had not pooed by morning we were going to have to do the ugly procedure... i will spare you details but just note it required rubber gloves, Vaseline and a steel stomach.
She fell asleep as soon as we left daycare and was totally knocked out when we went to the store. I ran in with her to get the syrup and we waited in the check out line when i noticed "something" on her pants. Well this something started to grow and grow and I knew at that moment what it was and wholly crap! LITERALLY CRAP! I had already purchased the syrup and ran out with her to the car. Now I was caught in this strange moment of, do I wait it out and change her in the parking lot or do i just keep it in the car?
I chose the latter and cruised home hoping that it was not spilling out all over the car. Luckily i did not hit any red lights and got home in enough time to make sure it did not leak all over the car. whew.
Her car seat though was not so lucky - it was covered from the middle to the bottom and "it" was pooling at the bottom. Good god.
Needless to say for the next hour I was cleaning her, the car seat and me not to mention all the laundry I had to do. Andy got home just after the massive blow out so he missed it all, but he will get his chance I am sure later in her life. :)

Besides the poo updates she has been rolling and rolling! She turns all the way over now and rolls and rolls, not fast but she is able to roll to and fro. Yesterday Andy was drinking a beer and put it way out of her reach, she rolled over and started to lift her butt and scoot up towards it! I was like oh great - she is going to start crawling for beer!!! HA! :)

I am posting a few videos and pics below for you all to see; have a great holiday weekend all!

I am sure my mom can concur this is a face I use to make all the time. We gingerly refer to this face as her "piss" face.

Ho Hum back to the grind. :(

Monday was my first day back at work and I had mixed emotions. I wanted to see some of my co-worker/friends but I did not want to take the wee one to daycare.
The morning started off early though Riley was great and woke up around the time we had planned to wake up around 5am. We ate, took showers and the whole family went out the door between 620-630am. whew never thought I would be up and ready and out on the road that early but there we were. ;)
The drive up to my new office and her daycare went well but my old office in Factoria that only took 10 minutes has turned into 30-40 and it sucks!

I finally got the the daycare and spent an hour there doing paperwork and going over all the notes they had me take about Ry's routine. I nursed her and then I was on my way. I was so sad. I did not cry but my eyes were watery for sure.
So after I nursed her i put her in a bouncy chair expecting her to cry but nope she sat there quietly watching the other babies. So here I was all upset and she could give a rat's butt.

I drove away and that was the hardest part. I looked in my rear view mirror to see an empty car seat and I wanted to cry!!! But I drove the other 10-15 minutes to work and it passed.

It was good to see all of my old friends and and co-workers and my new office. Unfortunately I had major computer issues and was not able to do a damn thing. That continued through today (Weds) and I just was able to get up and going and still have no work yet. I should not complain, but I feel so useless with nothing to do! Anyways I got to the office Monday and spent most of it doing what? of course decorating my cube with pictures of the wee one. I mean come on i had to right? :)

So Monday after work was the happiest. I cruised over to daycare to pick her up half expecting either cries or smiles.... and I got the big fat goose egg on both. NOTHING! She kept looking around me to see the other babies. WTH? I see where I rank.... much behind the baby boys at daycare apparently. She barely noticed I was there and when we left she seemed annoyed I took her away from them.
This continued Tuesday when I picked her up and today when I dropped her off she smiled at least but again was enthralled with the babies.
Now I know this is a great thing. Don't get me wrong I would rather have this then the crying/screaming baby. But I would love to see a smile when mom shows up after a long day. Ho hum.
Oh this morning was fun. Andy got up with her around 430 to feed her a bottle of formula which she drank it all. Well after waiting as long as i could I had to feed her to relieve the pressure in my boobs so I had to feed her around 615 thinking she would be hungry again I mean it was almost 2 hours. Apparently not because EVERYTHING and it's mother came up ALL over me. I was covered in baby puke. She just puked and puked and after? just sighed. HAHAHAH
Dad came to the rescue cleaned her up and I had to go and wring my clothes out before finding another outfit. Oh the joys of motherhood. :)

Other updates and stuff.... hmmm... we had our 3rd baby shower last weekend in which i hosted. It was a great time! It was for my friend Carrie who hosted my shower at her house. We had some good food made by Cecily, a few fun games and a great time with the Football crew. We have 2 more showers that I know of right now and I think we maybe done with babies!

Crazy baby times around here..... don't drink the water!

Ok well I guess I should do something "work related" though I have no idea what that is right now. :) here are a few pictures of Ry:
