Da-Da-Da and scootin'

Christmas Eve is tomorrow so I am sure there will be many, many pictures taken of the little one with all her Lodato Family relatives - so I thought i would post a few of the videos and pictures now before they are filled with Christmas ones.

It's been awhile....New Updates!

Ok ok I know it has been a long time since I made a post. Ok more like forever - so time now!

Crazy - December is half over already! Luckily i have made a good dent in the Christmas shopping so thankfully I am almost done. I have to go to Bellevue Square for one last part of a gift... and I am soo not excited to do that. i think i will do a long lunch so I can go without Ry.

We hosted Andy's office xmas party on the 5th, it was adults only AND was the first time Riley spent the night away. It was a fun night for both of us, but long for mom. I was already falling asleep by 930pm and was hoping Ry was ok with Grandma and Grandpa. The next morning i woke up (on my own thank you!) and left to go get her and hung out with the grandparents for a bit.

We had all of our Christmas decorations up the first week in December for Andy's party and Riley talks or "ughs" at the sparkly tinsel, its very cute.

Ok Riley update. Last month I took her in for her 6 month check up and she at the time was 18lbs and in the 95% for her height and weight. That was last month and she is growing like a weed. I have had to move out of 2 sizes and we are now getting close to retiring her 12month items in some brands. She is almost in 18 months, crazy!

Today i just purchased her new car seat. She has outgrown this one... and is crying every time i sit her in it now. Poor thing. :(

A few weeks ago we went to see Santa at Factoria Mall. I thought it was going to be a hellish mess, but nope. She was a star! Smiled for the picture and did not cry at Santa! Tomorrow I am heading to the mall to pick up one item for Santa. ;)

Other updates: we are in full teething mode. She has her first bump and it is getting larger each day on her bottom gum. Thanks to Hylands pills she does fine most nights.

However last night was rough and not from the teeth. She seemed to have obtained the cold bug floating around the infant room at daycare and coughed all night long. Every time she coughed i woke up, so you know it was a great night for sleep. :(

Good Updates: Last Sunday Aunt Ces came over to visit with us and as we sat downstairs she was on her blanket and all of a sudden she said: da-da-da-da-da. I was sooo excited! Her first official words! Well she has said this "hi" "huh" thing when we say hi to her months ago, so maybe this is her second word. Whatever the case I was so thrilled! We know she has no clue what she is saying, but it was cute none the less.

The other cute thing she is doing is with her favorite blanket. I drag it over her head and she smiles and smiles. I stop usually right at her forehead and now she pulls it down with both hands and waits for us to say PEEK-A-BOO! then she does it over and over again. It is sooo much fun to have her interact with us.

She is not yet crawling but we are days from it I would say. She is scooting and doing this kick back thing going backwards. She is very slow and deliberate in her movements towards items she wants to get or go, so we assume it is soon!

This weekend we are doing the finalized childproofing the house! yeah fun!
