So if you ever want to hear screaming and basically a complete breakdown of a child a long with kicking, screaming, hitting, crying and yelling you should stop by the house around 4pm during the week. It's such good times.
Riley has discovered that this hour is the devil and she continues to fight it for about an hour. So stop by! :)
After hearing from daycare that she is "perfect" "never cries" and always having my friends say that she is such a good baby: I say HA! I am providing pictures and videos of the 4pm breakdown as proof she is still cute when she is screaming her face off.
Enjoy! :)

Back to back heat
Happy belated 4th of July to you all! We are back from Hot Houston and glad to be, but I guess we brought the heat with us to Seattle. WHEW its hot! Funny how hot it feels when you have no AC - though I do have to be happy that we have no humidity, that was the pits in Houston.
The last few weeks have been a challenge to say the least. The week of the 21st Riley was acting a bit more fussy then normal and i noticed that there was a larger bump on her gums then normal - woo hoo a molar. I thought 'let the fun begin!'.... little did I know that this was not the fun I was asking for. :(
Thursday the 24th I dropped her off at daycare very cranky and thought it was just her teething issues. I headed down around 11am from Mill Creek to Bellevue (about 35 minute drive), made it into the Dentist office to check in only to receive a call from Daycare. Riley had spiked her mini 99 fever to 104 in the last few hours. They said she was very lethargic and completely not herself. So I headed back to work to get my laptop and off I went to daycare thinking she probably picked up the same daycare crud as last time.... oh i wish. I got her into the doctor and discovered that not one but both ears were infected. The doctor said out of 1-10 scale (10 being the worst) her ears were at a 9, they were pretty bad. Poor baby!
I really had no clue, she was not showing signs of ear issues like they say they do. :(
Anyways, that night we started the first round of antibiotics and so started my time off of work one week early. She started to feel better on Saturday while we were at Grandma/Grandpas but still was cranky. Sunday night we took another bad turn and her fever returned to 103.5. Monday I took her in again and we had to switch the medication and that started the stress of the week. We were flying out Thursday for Houston and she had to be officially cleared by the doctor before as the plane could put too much pressure on her eardrums and they would burst. EEK!
It was a week of playing the waiting game as we waited to see if she would get better and finally on Tuesday the doctor checked her one more time and she was cleared for taking off!
The trip to Houston actually went really well for Riley. I was surprised at how well she did - very little crying and just a few whines here and there. Even with a bad inner ear infection she was a trooper and did great! I ended up brining all sorts of new books and toys for her to have on the plane and I really think some of them were are saving grace. She loved to play with the news toys and we read her new books over and over again.
The trip was really to see family which was great and we took several family pictures that we are waiting on to have delivered. They looked great and Riley there to was a champ!
The rest of the time we had to stay indoors unfortunately due to the antibiotics she was on she could not be in the sun hardly at all. Andy was able to get in a few rounds of golf and Riley and I played and she ate, ate some more and ate more. I swear she ate more then i was eating! I just hope she is growing because we are not sure where she was putting all of that food! :)
We were there for 4 days and even thought it was short, we were glad to be going home on the 4th of July. We spend the night in a hotel near the airport so we did not have to wake up super early and drive the 45 minutes- 1 hour to the airport with Riley - this gave her extra time to sleep. or so we thought... that night in the hotel was rough. We could not even get her down until 12 and we had to get up at 430am to catch the shuttle. You would think we would have been used to no sleep with a baby - but nope, Andy and I looked like zombies that next morning.
We go the airport and I literally was the 2nd person in line at the Starbucks to get coffee - we needed it!
The flight home was great; Riley again surprised us with being such a great baby. She whined a few times but really nothing much - it was great!
I will upload a few pictures later here from the trip for those not on FB and I will upload them all to Shutterfly soon as well.
So what else is new.... oh this Saturday we are having our monthly baby play date with Cole (Mama Carrie), Mia (Mama Amber) and Evan (Mama Tricia) - we are so excited to see your football friends again! I will definitely post pictures of that event as I am sure they will be super cute!
