I have had problems for the last few weeks in wearing my regular jeans. I had to buy 2 belly bands a few weeks ago and they have been great so I can wear my normal jeans everyday.
The other day I went to put on a pair of jeans and realized that there was now a small bump where my flat belly use to be. FINALLY! I have a bump woo hoo!!
I am at 16 weeks as of tomorrow and I was freaking out that there was no bump. But I have read through my millions of baby books saying this is totally normal, but I should expect soon for it to grow rapidly.
I have been able to eat a bit more at dinner time and not get sick, so I am hoping this nausea is passing very soon. We have a birthday dinner party on Saturday with friends at a huge Italian family restaurant, hoping that I feel ok to actually go. I am excited as this is the first time Andy and I have been out to eat much less hang out with anyone. Halloween was the first time and it has slowly gotten better since.
I think i am going to start to take pictures of my belly so I can have them soon, i will have to post an appropriate one when I have them uploaded. :)

Forever sick
I went in last Weds to meet my new doctor at Valley Medical child birthing center and had a check up. At this visit they ran over all of my tests and informed me that i had lost 4 pounds. :( This does not totally surprise me since I cannot seem to eat at nights and I am still limited what i can eat during the day. I was also able to hear the baby's heartbeat which was really cool and I informed the doctor that we wanted to leave the gender of the baby a surprise. She was pretty excited and said that at every visit then she would give her guess, this time she guessed a girl.
Yesterday was probably one of the worst days I have had yet. I woke up with the worst neck ache I have ever had and it ran down my spine to the center of my back. It did not matter if i sat, stood or laid down it was painful. Eventually that moved to my head and created a nasty migraine around nighttime which is the time I normally get sick. And of course I got sick, very sick! :( At my last visit the doctor gave me a prescription for medicine that would help with nausea and migraines but warned me it would knock me out. I took it at 7pm last night and was in bed by 9pm and woke up at 630am in the same position, so i would say a pretty good night's rest. I feel so refreshed this morning and am scarfing down cereal and tea since I can eat right now.
Saturday we attended the Bossert's annual Halloween party. This year they rented out the entire Red Hook Brewery in Woodinville and man was it packed! There were some great costumes as well! Wendy took a lot of pics so when she posts them I will add some of the better costumes up here.
Andy and I had a tough time with our costume choices this year. Halloween is my favorite holiday so I usually get into it, but this year I was not feeling too well so I went with a store bought costume. It was funny trying on costumes because everything is huge! I ended up with a pre-teen costume as it was the only thing that fit, so sad. I was a "retro" geisha which means it was a full geisha outfit but shorter up to my knees. I found a funky geisha wig and just finished it off with a lot of makeup and wa-la! Andy did not put too much effort into dressing up since last year we spent sometime coming up with a great couple costume.
I will post both pictures of last year and this year so you can see what I am talking about.
On a wetter note - Renton got hit with a downpour on Sunday during the Hawks game. Luckily we were home and when I went to see the rain outside the window i realized I was stepping in a puddle of water in our den. Yip we flooded! Luckily we caught it right away so Andy and I went outside for hours bucketing water and creating a man-made levy to keep the water from coming in. I stayed home yesterday to ensure nothing happened but it did not rain... here i am at work and it is pouring so I may have to leave and make sure that my house is not floating away!

This is last year's Halloween costume. We went as Dog The Bounty Hunter and his wife Beth. If you have not seen the show, you need to. These two are something else. And the other image is of us this year, not very creative.
