With 6 days left I hung out with my mom fixing up the baby room and doing a few last minute errands.
When i came home I sat down to relax and the baby has NOT stopped moving around. Baby Lo is crazy active. I recorded it as it is looking more alien in there then anything else....
enjoy.

8 Days and Counting..........
Since I am on my final days I thought I better start to blog now while I can.
Today I ventured out at lunchtime to run a few pre-hospital things oh how fun it was. I went to motherhood maternity to try on a nursing bra and a nursing top. Both of what I needed desperately for when Peanut makes it's way into the world.
I had one nursing bra already and well the lady at the store sucked; um it does not fit now! I can only imagine trying to wear it while i have major juggly jugs.
This weekend is our last free weekend without the baby, but we are laying low keeping close to home/hospital. This weekend is all about cleaning, making the crib for the baby and re-packing my hospital bag.
So on the way to work yesterday I was thinking about the things I learned from being pregnant. You want to hear it all? Ah I know you do, hell this is a Blog!
The Things I Learned From Being Pregnant.
1. You do not realize the value of a good fitting pair of pants/jeans until you are pregnant -
In the first trimester I was not showing but I could not get my pants zipped very far as I was getting wide down there. I purchased 2 belly bands which saved me about 2 months of going to maternity pants - I was so happy. Then I started to notice they did not work any longer, so out shopping I went. I found 2 pairs of jeans with the Secret Belly Band from Motherhood Maternity and wow they fit great. One pair still fits great the other got a bit too tight in the belly, but I would highly recommend those.
2. Sleep is a luxury -
I know I will learn more about this when Baby Lo is actually here, but I have noticed in the last few months that I have become more sleep deprived. I use to dream of sleep, laying on my soft bed and drifting off to pleasant dreams of puppy dogs and ice cream. Now I am lucky if I can lay down on my side without displacing my hip, dying from heartburn or having the baby kick so hard on that side there is no way to sleep.
3. Flips Flops are a savior and the devil -
When I use to travel to Tampa all the time I had several pairs of so cute flips flops in all colors that I loved to wear them with jeans or cute capris. Now they are the only thing I can get on my huge, swollen, balloon feet in. People talk about swollen ankles and such during pregnancy but no one seems to mention that fact that they hurt like hell, there are creases where you attempt to bend your foot, they itch with the stretching skin and they look hideous. I have about 5 pairs of flip flops that I have been wearing since they are the only things I can get on my fat feet and oh yeah we have had 2 nice days here in Seattle, so I am usually wearing them in 46 degree weather in the rain.
4. Eating is awesome.
When I finally got over my nausea well into my 2nd trimester and I could eat, there was nothing like it. I did not scarf things down but I did eat all the time. I could finally eat all the foods I had missed and I enjoyed it all! Even though I am past the nausea stage I still have not yet been able to try chicken. The site and smell still kind of makes me queasy so I shall wait until after the baby is born to attempt that again.
5. People suck more when you are pregnant-
The rumor about people giving you advice is so true. I got more advice then I knew what to do with and most of it was unsolicited. The worst was a lady that lectured me at Starbucks for drinking coffee, even though I had ordered tea. I really wanted to throw the tea on her, but what a waste of money. ;)
So worse then advice are the people that feel like they can touch your belly. I have had more strangers come up to me and feel or touch my belly and say: "I use to hate people feeling my belly when I was pregnant". Really? WTF? One person came up to me at the mall and I did push her hand away, she was creepy looking. No creepy people are allowed in my personal bubble touching me.
6. Is it a boy or girl? -
Ok so we wanted to have this one as a surprise and I don’t regret it, but we are just super anxious to know what Baby Lo/Peanut is for sure. Would we do it again? Um hell no. This has been fun in the beginning and as we get closer and through the showers it has clearly sucked.
Not to mention all the people that have their "theories" about how you are carrying the baby it is a boy or girl, or if you eat this or that or feel this way or that way…. None of it works. Especially the Chinese gender predictor that thing sucks.
7. You are not the first person to be pregnant in the world -
Not that I ever thought this, but it is so comforting to know that women have done this for many, many years and that C-sections are very common. I have not been worried yet too much about the surgery, but as the days start to get closer I am starting to have thoughts and a few worries here and there.
8. Watching my belly move is better then TV -
Baby Lo loves to kick around lunch time and usually around 10-1030 at night. At night Andy and I will just sit in bed and watch the belly and now that I am at the end of my 9th month these movements are more then like a pig or cat in a pillowcase - moving all around!
It is fun trying to guess what body part is making those sharp little points against my belly and trying to figure out in what position it is in all the time. I cannot wait until it is out so i can poke it all the time and say SEE THIS IS WHAT IT FEELS LIKE! ;)
9. The last week is HELL -
Being pregnant for 9 months and waiting this long has been horrible. Oh how I really want the following: to finally meet the baby, my body back, see my ankle bones again and not the poofy crap around them, wear my pre-pregnancy cute clothes again, wear an actual pair of shoes other then flip flops, eat food and not get heartburn, actually sleep on my back (oh i want this so bad), no more leaky boobs, able to see my feet or hell my thighs for that matter, able to wear my wedding rings again, drink a full tall vanilla latte not one with a 1/2 shot and the most important? A MARGARITA! With the sun coming out here in Seattle margaritas have been on my mind..... i cannot wait.
Lastly....
10. There is something in my belly that I will love unconditionally forever -
Not that I did not realize this when we were trying to get pregnant, but now that I am only days away from delivering, it is becoming more relevant.
I would not trade the experiences I have had during this pregnancy for anything…… it will all end with the birth of my child! Even with all the complaints I have had, the discomfort and pains I would never give it back.
Alright enough blogging for today. I hope you all had fun reading my rants. ;)

38 week update
I had my second to last doctor appointment today and the doctor guessed a boy again based on the heart rate of 150.
Everything is normal so nothing to report. Same old huge fat feet and kankles, same heartburn and crappy hip/butt pain.
However I only have 11 days left and cannot wait to be done with the pregnancy and finally meet Peanut!
Thank you all for all the great baby gifts and the showers - it has been amazing fun! I think we are all set; the baby room is all set up, car seat is all set up in my car and another base is in Andy's car.
Peanut/Baby Lo has been moving a lot and causing mom a lot of discomfort, but again only 11 days!
Anyways here is an updated picture of the HUGE belly:

Happy Easter!
Happy Easter from the Lodatos! We are celebrating the holiday by cleaning and organizing the house and cat sitting for a friend. Yes this weekend is all about Nesting at the Lodato household.
Tonight we are finally going on our Anniversary dinner to Morton's Steakhouse. This will also be our last Hurrah before Baby Lo arrives!!!!
Here is our picture from tonight's festivites at Morton's Steakhouse. Since we had steak last night and will have it on Weds we chose to feast on their wonderful fish options. We opened with their yummy homemade bread a wonderful iceberg salad with blue cheese and bacon, which was WONDERFUL!
Andy had the Lobster Tail with a half a HUGE Idaho potato with all the fixins and I had the full order of Crab Legs with the other half of the huge potato with sour cream. The legs were massive so i shared with Andy and we could not even finish everything!
This was our one big dinner out for our 2 year anniversary, Easter and last hurrah - so we ate up!
Here is an updated belly shot after I feel like Baby Lo dropped to my feet:

36 week update and baby shower pix
I will hit my 36 weeks this Thursday so I thought I would post an entry early.
Yesterday was my friend shower and wow what fun it was! We played a few fun games, one of which Andy participated months earlier for. So Cecily, Wendy and Carrie had Andy over a few months ago and video taped his answers to a series of tough questions. Yesterday the ladies videotaped me answering the same questions all for Baby Lo to watch in the future. It was so much fun and hard to be on the hot seat - but by darn it i got through it! ;)
There were 5 of us at the shower that were pregnant so almost like 1/2 of us! Cecily, Wendy and Carrie prepared some yummy food and they got the yummiest cake from Borrachinnis as well.
Andy left at the butt crack of dawn Saturday morning for Portland for his continuing education courses. Last night I got home late and poor Dodger was so not happy with us. He did not sleep on the bed last night to keep me company while Andy was out but instead he decided to sleep amidst the bags of shower gifts. I found him this morning with all the curling ribbons all over the place, his little way of "Helping" me unwrap things.
Here is a pic of Dodger also helping me out in the baby room:
Here are a few pictures from the Shower:
